Boil Water Advisory Rescinded for Rural Water District #6, Douglas Co.

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) has rescinded a boil water advisory for the Douglas County Rural Water District 6 public water supply system located in Douglas County. Laboratory testing samples collected from the Douglas County Rural Water District 6 indicate no evidence of bacteriological contamination and all other conditions that placed the system at risk of contamination are deemed by KDHE officials to be resolved. About Us

Patrons are responsible for water that is delivered through your meter system regardless of delayed transfer from meter reading.

Our water is treated by the city of Lawrence with allocations from both Clinton Lake and the Kansas River. Our mission is to acquire water and water rights and to build and acquire pipe lines and other facilities, and to operate the same for the purpose of furnishing water for domestic, garden, livestock and other purposes to owners and occupants of land located within the District, and others as authorized by the Bylaws.
